RAAL is an integrated company and the design, sizing and simulation, testing and validation, prototype manufacturing, tool and die design and manufacturing, serial production activities are carried out "in house". This competitive advantage provides both a very short development and assimilation cycle in production of new products and short-term manufacturing and supply of the serially produced goods.

1. DESIGN, CALCULATION AND SIMULATION

RAAL performs the sizing of heat exchangers and cooling systems using its own software, based on the theoretical studies and on the results of thousands of performed tests.

RAAL uses FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to simulate the structural, flow and vibration stress conditions.

2. PRODUCT DESIGN

RAAL has a vast experience in designing heat exchangers and cooling systems. Starting from the specifications, dimensions or CAD data of the application, RAAL designers are able to find the best solutions for the most efficient use of the available space.

RAAL designers have the ability to continuously optimize the products, to fully meet the requirements of the application.

3. TESTING AND VALIDATION

The performances and structural features of the new products are validated in RAAL testing center, based on the technical specifications and the parameters obtained by data acquisition on customer's equipment. Testing center capabilities include:
  • Testing the thermal and fluid-dynamic features on the wind tunnel
  • Testing the structural features: burst pressure, cycle pressure, thermal cycle, vibrations and shocks at ambient temperature or at high temperatures in climate chamber
  • Testing of internal cleanliness
  • Chemical tests and accelerated corrosion tests
  • Metallographic studies

4. OOLS AND EQUIPMENT

RAAL engineers have great experience in tool and die designing and in designing the equipment required during the manufacturing process.
A special chapter is the design and optimization of new generations of fin forming machines, covering a variety of fins and turbulators.
